Simple Valentines Pine Cone Wreath
Once the Christmas décor comes down the house feels too barren so I tend to put my Valentines décor up the first week of January. I don’t go overboard with color or decorations for Valentines, just a few pieces to keep the house from feeling so empty! I made this simple Valentines Pine Cone Wreath that took me no time to make!
Supplies you will need:
Embroidery Hoop
Pine Cones
Fabric in two colors
Thread or fishing line
Floral wire
Scissors
I am always collecting pine cones from my yard to use for craft projects, I have a few embroidery hoops on hand and I used some left over fabric from previous projects.
- Using the floral wire wrap your pine cones around the embroidery hoop.
- Cut out your little flag and lettering
- Glue your XO to the flag
- Lay a piece of thread on the back of the flag near the top, fold the top over and glue
- Attach the two ends of the thread to the hoop
I drew my flag and XO freehand but have created a template if you don’t want to freehand yours! Click here for the XO Flag template.
If you are like me and prefer to keep your Valentine décor in a subtle minimalist design give this wreath a try! You may like my other valentine’s projects below too! Check back for a super cute Valentines project that I will be posting soon!
