Save 40 percent: Echo Dot
The Echo Dot—on sale for $30, or $20 off at Amazon—is a small but solid smart home speaker. Use Alexa to get the latest news, weather updates, and more with just the sound of your voice. Basically, if you have a question, Alexa has an answer.
You can even pair it with another Echo Dot to create amazing stereo sound for less than what it would cost for just one Bose or Sonos Bluetooth speaker. And if you have privacy concerns, the Echo Dot is designed with multiple layers of protection, like a physical button that turns off its microphone and disconnects it from your home Wi-Fi network altogether.
“This is the BEST speaker I’ve ever heard for under $50,” says a five-star reviewer. “The functions of the Echo along with the music playing functionality and the sound quality makes it a steal at this price point.”
Equipped with a brilliant 5-inch display, the Echo Show 5—on sale for $60, or $30 off at Amazon—is a compact nightstand companion. Use it for video chats with friends and family or up-to-the-minute news reports—it can even stream Hulu Plus and Prime Video (so you can sneak in an episode of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel or Fleabag before bed).
This smart home device doubles as a futuristic digital alarm clock with a number of customizable clock faces to suit your personality. “I love my new Echo Show 5,” said a satisfied shopper. “It makes it much easier to see the numbers. I like that it dims itself while I’m asleep, too.”
If you want something bigger, Amazon also has the Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 10 on sale for $90 (was $130) and $180 (was $230), respectively.
Save 30 percent: Echo
The new Echo speaker just got a chic upgrade with advanced audio components, including new speaker drivers and a three-inch woofer for exceptional clarity and bass. It also comes in fresh colors, such as Twilight Blue, Charcoal, Heather Gray and Sandstone. It’s truly one of the best ways to add Alexa to your home.
“It’s a great smart speaker system,” wrote a tech-savvy reviewer. “It’s accurate, sounds excellent and is lower in price than its previous model.”

Amazon released a new Echo Dot that addressed one of the biggest user complaints about the previous model: The time was not easy to see. The Echo Dot with Digital Clock fixed that, and it’s on sale for just $35, or $25 off.
This smart home device has all the goodness of its Echo Dot counterpart, plus an LED display that shows the time and temperature. It dims automatically at night, so it won’t bother you when you sleep. And much like the Echo Dot itself, it has quick access to Alexa, smart home voice features and seamless syncing to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
“The Echo Dot with smart clock is the perfect bedside aid,” shared a tech-savvy reviewer. “It replaced my alarm clock, bluetooth speaker, light switch and many other devices. The implementation of a smart LED display is very impressive…whenever the lights are turned off, or even dimmed, the smart display will also dim to remain easily visible, but not bright enough to keep me awake.”
If you’re looking for a smart bedside companion, this Echo Spot is dreamy—especially now that it’s on sale for $90, or $40 off at Amazon. It features a compact 2.5-inch display encased in a sleek design. This device includes all the Alexa features you’d come to expect from the Echo line—including access to Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music and more—but in a stylish, minimal presentation. You can even use it to make video calls with Skype.
“The Echo Spot is a handy Alexa home automation device that rests nicely on a nightstand without taking up too much room. The screen is excellent quality, and it automatically brightens or dims relative to ambient room light. Its round shape is unique, and it looks good sitting on a nightstand, a dresser, a bookshelf or on the kitchen counter,” wrote a five-star reviewer. “The sound quality for playing bedroom music is surprisingly good for its physical size.”
The Echo Wall Clock needs an Echo device to work. Just sync the smart clock to your Wi-Fi network via the Alexa app on your phone, and say “Alexa, set up my Echo Wall Clock.” And that’s it! The Echo Wall Clock will automatically set to the correct time (no matter your time zone) and adjust for daylight savings time. It doubles as a digital kitchen timer, too.
“The clock design is minimalist and simple, but has exceptional functions that make it a must have,” added a satisfied shopper. “The clock paired in seconds to our kitchen Echo Show and after a few minutes it was ready to use. The timer function is great! It provides a ‘visual’ effect that is a glance away. I like the idea that it adjusts for DST and EST.”
Disney fan? Amazon’s Echo Wall Clock: Disney Mickey Mouse Edition is on sale for $40, or $10 off. It works exactly the same, but features the iconic mouse on the clock face.
Similar to the Apple HomePod or Google Home Max, the Echo Studio high-fidelity smart speaker delivers stellar home audio. With five speakers hidden inside, it features Dolby Atmos technology for 3D audio that can fill an entire room.
Reviewers are floored. “The Echo Studio is a quantum leap from any other speaker that Amazon has produced to date. Everything else sounds like a transistor radio in comparison. The sound separation is fantastic and you can actually feel the bass at higher volume levels,” wrote a delighted five-star shopper. “It’s a fantastic speaker.”

On sale for just $17 (was $25), the Echo Flex is Amazon’s cheapest Alexa device. It plugs into any wall outlet for instant access wherever you want Alexa—in the kitchen, in the basement or even in the bathroom. Ask it for weather reports, restaurant hours, to turn off the lights and more. You can essentially use it as an intercom, to tell the kids to wash up for dinner or ask your spouse to get the laundry out of the dryer.
“I installed the Echo Flex in my basement (where I do my laundry and occasionally sift through seasonal items or stored items). I didn’t need a lot of features,” shared a five-star Amazon reviewer. “I just needed Alexa to answer questions, tell me the time, give me a reminder or notification or just keep me company. The Echo Flex works perfectly for my needs.”
If you ever wanted Alexa in your car, here’s your chance. The Echo Auto is a clever little gizmo that instantly makes your old car smart. It connects to your car’s stereo via auxiliary input and pairs to your phone with Bluetooth.
And don’t worry about the car’s engine, wind or road traffic getting in the way of your voice. The Echo Auto is designed with eight mighty microphones, so it can clearly pick up voice commands. It’s also great for making hands-free phone calls and searching for your favorite tunes on Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora and more.
“I’m actually impressed with this little device. I’ve tried other car Alexa-enabled devices but they’ve always struggled to pick up my voice over noise such as the radio, a window being down or other people chatting in the car,” shared a satisfied Amazon shopper. “It always picks up my voice no matter the sound level.”

The Echo Dot: Kids Edition is one of the best smart home devices to get child-friendly content, like goofy songs, fun games, engaging stories and playtime projects. Aside from that, it works like any Echo Dot device with Alexa and Bluetooth built-in. It even has parental controls for monitoring and limiting activities, and can filter out any explicit and mature songs and content. It comes in two colors: Kids Blue and Kids Rainbow.
“This was such a good buy for two boys, 8 and 9. They use it daily to listen to music, play games (especially the SpongeBob and Ghostbusters Challenge), listen to bedtime stories, set timers for brushing teeth or reading, Lullabies/sleep sounds and so much more,” shared a delighted shopper. “It perfectly filters kid-friendly things and I am so happy with this purchase. I really feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. I’ve even caught them asking it about weather- and history-related things.”
