One of the final home designs from legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright is up for sale in Phoenix, and it will cost around $8 million.

The circular sun house on the Phoenix Mountain Preserve has been on the market for about a year, and it is one of only 14 circular homes designed by Wright, and it’s a literal piece of history that overlooks another area often associated with Wright: the Biltmore.

The home is the only one he designed in the Houston area, and one of only three of his homes in the entire state of Texas.

HOUSTON — It’s an impressive home but as the Realtor, Clay Joyner will tell you, it’s much more than that.

NW Indiana home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright sells for $1M

A home designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright that’s one of only two surviving Wright-designed residences in northwest Indiana has sold for more than $1 million.

Oak Park, Illinois, resident Brian Bobek bought the Armstrong House for $1.02 million in April, The (Northwest Indiana) Times reported, citing Porter County property records.

The dramatic, light-filled home was built in 1939 in Ogden Dunes, a Lake Michigan lakefront town about 40 miles (64 kilometers) east of Chicago. It’s sometimes also called the Armstrong Dune House because of its location on a sloping sand dune.

The two-story, 3,696-square-foot (343.4-square-meter) brick home overlooks landscaped, wooded lots. It boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a retro carport, two fireplaces, a sauna, and many other features, including a screened-in porch that showcases the surrounding woods.

A historic Ogden Dunes, Indiana, home designed by the renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright sold this spring for more than $1 million.

A new owner acquired the Armstrong House, sometimes known as the Armstrong Dune House, that was built in the lakefront town in 1939. Wright, the pioneer of the Prairie School and Usonian styles of architecture, has been heralded as the greatest American architect of all time by the American Institute of Architects. Wright has a storied history with Mason City and designed the Historic Park Inn, the only functioning Wright-designed hotel.
